A decision register, not just a before-and-after

The value of an evolution lies in the reason for each change.

The intention

Modernise without losing useful recognition

See the deliverables

Your identity exists, but no longer quite reflects your work. We identify what deserves to remain, then evolve the mark, palette or graphic rhythm. The aim is a renewed presence that keeps meaningful points of recognition.

An identity evolution starts with a careful review of what exists. Some elements already carry recognition; others limit readability, consistency or use in new settings. We distinguish these situations before changing the mark. The aim is to make the identity more appropriate, not to replace every detail on principle.

The work relates the new version to actual constraints: small sizes, screens, print, photography or other information around the mark. Two updated applications make it possible to judge the whole in context. The transition sheet then explains what changes, what remains and how to introduce the new direction progressively.

Starting scope

Review of one existing identity, evolution of one logo and adaptation of two applications.

This service’s thread
  1. Recognise existing cues

We review the identity and current applications alongside your practical feedback. Success criteria are agreed before creative work so changes can be discussed in concrete terms.

  2. Rebalance the language

We evolve the selected visual language while retaining relevant cues. Proposals are shown in context to check the coherence of mark, colour and hierarchy.

  3. Prepare the transition

The two agreed applications are updated and files organised with the transition sheet. A broader rollout across all existing materials can then be planned separately.

A review of the existing identity

The review identifies elements to retain, relationships to rebalance and difficulties observed in supplied materials. It provides a reference for evaluating proposals and avoids confusing an evolution with a complete break.

An updated mark

The logo is developed in the selected direction, with agreed variants and the necessary vector files. Adjustments may concern proportions, drawing, typography or colour relationships depending on the needs identified.

An organised transition

Two applications are updated to demonstrate the new direction in use. The transition sheet distinguishes old and new files, explains changed rules and helps plan the replacement of other applications, which remain outside scope unless agreed.

To get started

A scope
without guesswork.

What we need

  • Source files and rights to the current identity.
  • Your practical difficulties and new uses.

Outside this scope

  • Complete rebrands of several brands or all existing materials.
  • Brand recognition studies and legal clearance searches.

Practical questions

Do I need to start again?

Not necessarily. This service identifies what is worth retaining. If the review suggests that a full reconstruction would be more coherent, we explain why and propose an appropriate scope before undertaking that work.

What if I do not have source files?

Tell us at the brief stage. We assess what can be reused from the available material and check usage rights. Significant reconstruction of a mark or missing assets must be specified in the quotation.
